Welcome to the Parish of the Woodford Valley

Notes from the Vicarage - for details, click the headings below:

The Parish of the Woodford Valley, in the Diocese of Salisbury, lies between the cathedral city of Salisbury and Amesbury. It is an extraordinarily beautiful place. At its heart are some nine small communities which lie on either side of the river Avon. A most recent addition is the Archer's Gate estate which lies on the Eastern border of the parish just south of Amesbury. We support three beautiful churches: All Saints in Middle Woodford, St Andrew's in Great Durnford and St Michael's at Wilsford. We will be using the Bowman Centre at Archer's Gate from time to time.

As a parish we are unusual in that we are a United Benefice. There are no parish boundaries between the three church buildings and we do everything together. Folk tend to worship where the service they prefer, or find most convenient, is taking place.

Everyone is always welcome at our services or other activities, so do come.

Our parish magazine, The Bridge, is available free of charge in each of the church buildings.
