Welcome to the Parish of the Woodford Valley
Notes from the Vicarage - for details, click the heading below:
Thanksgiving for marriage and renewal of vows/commitment.
On the 19th May we will be holding a service in All Saints Middle Woodford in thanksgiving for marriage and the commitment expressed through loving relationships. It will be at 11.15 am and will be followed by a buffet lunch in the Village Hall.
Your attendance at the service in no way need be indicated now but by two weeks before the day it would be helpful if you indicated whether you would like to come to the lunch. These numbers are required for catering purposes. Please ring / e-mail Ann or Heather or Tim Olsen who are sponsoring the event.
We would like the service to be as inclusive as possible. No one is excluded. You are welcome to bring friends and relatives and if you have lost your partner you may like to come to give thanks for the relationship you have enjoyed.
You do not need to have been married in church.
Please put the date in your diary and if you have any queries please feel free to get in touch with me.

The Parish of the Woodford Valley, in the Diocese of Salisbury, lies between the cathedral city of Salisbury and Amesbury. It is an extraordinarily beautiful place. At its heart are some nine small communities which lie on either side of the river Avon. A most recent addition is the Archer's Gate estate which lies on the Eastern border of the parish just south of Amesbury. We support three beautiful churches: All Saints in Middle Woodford, St Andrew's in Great Durnford and St Michael's at Wilsford. We also use the Bowman Centre at Archer's Gate from time to time.
As a parish we are unusual in that we are a United Benefice. There are no parish boundaries between the three church buildings and we do everything together. Folk tend to worship where the service they prefer, or find most convenient, is taking place.
Everyone is always welcome at our services or other activities, so do come.
Our parish magazine, The Bridge, is available free of charge in each of the church buildings.
